The key focus of the PragueVision Institute is to promote a nuclear-weapons-free world as a safe, secure and sustainable political environment, and to explore and advocate for practical means to achieve such a world. The vision of a world without nuclear weapons, affirmed by US president Obama in his landmark 2009 Prague speech, inspired the name of the institute.
On the international level, PragueVision monitors developments in the issue, participates in disarmament forums and cooperates with global NGO networks. PragueVision hosts the Central European office of PNND (Parliamentarians for Nuclear Non-Proliferation and Disarmament). On the national level, PragueVision publishes a digest of key news on the issue of nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation in Czech language, promotes policies and aims to raise awareness among political representatives, academia and the public.
PragueVision Institute for Sustainable Security is registered as a non-profit non-governmental organization in Prague, Czech Republic.
